About the company The Left-Handed Shop
We are a Swedish limited company and registered under the name Allt För Vänsterhänta i Sverige AB (which translates to Everything For Left-Handers in Sweden Ltd). Owner and manager of the company is Andreas Wennick. You can contact Andreas by sending an e-mail to andreas@theleft-handedshop.com
The company was established in 2002 when a web site for left-handers in Swedish was launched. The web site is still in use and you can visit it at

In 2007 we decided to expand our business and open a web site for international customers as well.
We are registered with the Swedish Companies Registration Office with registration number 556596-4367 and our VAT-nr is SE556596436701.

Our guarantee and returns policy
We are confident that you will like our products but if you don't just send them back.
We have a 30 days "no questions asked" guarantee for all products. Just send us an e-mail, return the products and we will refund your money.
If any of the products you buy from us are in any way faulty we will replace them at our cost (including the postage of any faulty goods returned to us)within 12 months from the date of purchase. On some products the producer gives an extended guarantee. In these cases we of course extend our guarantee to the same length as the producer.

Payment methods and security
We accept payment by VISA or Mastercard and you can choose to pay in Euros or USD. We use DIBS payment services to process credit cards online. DIBS is the leading payment service provider in Scandinavia, certified by banks and card acquirers to handle secure payment transactions - your guarantee that your payments are in the safest of hands. DIBS supply us with the possibility to use MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa. When you reach the final stage of our checkout and click the button "Make the Order" you will be forwarded to DIBS web site which of course uses a SSL certificate (read more about SSL certificates below). You enter your credit card number and validate your payment on DIBS secure web site.
At our web site you will fill in your e-mail address, name, address and so on. This information also has to be protected and we use a 128-bit SSL certificate. The SSL Protocol is designed to provide privacy between two communicating applications. This means that the information you send to us once you have entered the checkout is sent using secret key encryption.
You know that you have entered the "safe zone" when the http changes to https in front of our address. In most web browsers you will also see a small padlock or an unbroken key in the lower right corner of your web browser or to the right of the address field. Delivery times and charges
We use the Swedish company Posten and send all orders with regular surface mail. This means that normal delivery time will be 3-6 days to destinations in Europe and 5-10 days to all other destinations. Our charges to all destinations are:
Order value up to €50.00 (approx. 75 USD) shipping is €5.00 (approx. 7,5 USD) , all higher orders are free of charge.
How to order
To order on our website just follow these steps
1.
Choose if you want the prices shown in Euros or USD. This is made in the upper right corner under "Currency"
2. Browse the categories and select the products that you would like to buy by clicking the blue "Add" button. Before you decide you can click on "More details" to find out more about the product or "Large view" to see a bigger picture of the product. If you change your mind you can always click "View basket" and remove or change the number of items you want.
You can always see the items you have added on the right hand side under "Shopping Basket"

When you are done shopping press the "Checkout" button or if you want to come back later you can choose "Save Basket". If you want to make the products you have chosen available for other people to buy for Christmas or a birthday click "Create Wish List"
If you want to make any changes before continuing to "Checkout" click "View basket"
4. When you reach the 1st step of our "Checkout" you will be asked to enter your e-mail address under "New Customers". Then press the button "Proceed". If you are already a customer enter your e-mail address and your password under "Previous Customers" and then press proceed. If you have forgotten your password you can enter your e-mail address under "Forgotten Your Password?" and press "Remind Me"

At the 2nd step of our "Checkout" you will be asked to choose "Country of residence" that is the country you live in. Then select "Shipping destination" that is to what country the goods should be delivered. If you are ordering the products for yourself just choose "Same as above". If you want the products to be sent to somebody else choose the country where this person is living. You must also enter the postcode or zip code of the shipping address under "Shipping postcode/Zip". Then press "Proceed"
6. Fill in the information under "Customer Information" and if the products are not going to be sent to you fill in also "Shipping Information"
Under "Customer Contact Information" you must choose a password and if you want you can fill in your telephone number, this will be used if we need to contact you concerning your order.
If you want you can leave us a message under "Comments / Additional Information"
At the end there are three boxes you can tick. The only box that is mandatory is the last one. "I agree to the terms and conditions applicable to orders made on this web site" must be ticked in order for the purchase to made. We advise you to read the terms by clicking on the link " View Terms And Conditions" just below the box. The other two boxes should be ticked if you want an e-mail when your order status is updated and if you want to subscribe to our newsletter.
Then press "Make the Order"
7. There will be a short delay and you will then be forwarded to DIBS secure web site where you enter your card details. Once your card has been approved by DIBS you will see an order confirmation and if you have chosen to get e-mails when your order status is updated you will recieve an e-mail with full order details.
Normally we despatch orders on the working day after they are placed and delivery is usually made within 3-6 days to destinations in Europe and 5-10 to all other destinations.
Tax, duty and customs regulations
The prices shown on this web site include Swedish VAT (Sales tax).
If you live in the European Union, Swedish VAT will be included in the price you pay according to EU regulations. Goods sent within the EU are never subject to any taxes, regulations, or import duties.
If you live outside the European Union, the Swedish VAT will be deducted from your products before you pay. This means that the prices you see will be 20% lower (5% for books) once you reach the final stage of our "Checkout".
According to EU regulations VAT should not be charged if the person recieving the goods is living outside the EU. You may be subject to import duties or other taxes levied by your customs authorities. You will be responsible for any additional charges as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they will be.
Cancelling your order
You can cancel your order any time up until it is despatched by e-mail. You should be aware that we try to to despatch all orders within 24 hours.
If you are not able to cancel before despatch, you can return them under our 30 days guarantee but if you have changed your mind we will be grateful if you cancel before we send the goods.

If you have ticked the box asking to be added to our mailing list, we will send occasional e-mails when we have things that we think may be of interest to you.
